Which Way Home plot
"They are the ones you never hear about – the invisible ones."
It's not just men from Central America and Mexico who try to enter the United States illegally. Five percent of the large group of economic refugees consists of children under the age of sixteen. Every day, hundreds of children climb on the freight trains that run from southern Mexico to the US. On their journey they are robbed, sometimes raped or fall off the train while sleeping. Those who survive the grueling journey will have to cross the heavily guarded border area between Mexico and the US. But the boys hardly seem aware of that. They will see that when they get to the border, says the comment. If they manage to cross the border, they want to make money or be adopted. Which Way Home follows different groups of children on their long journey.
