Pohádka Svatojánské Noci plot

After twelve years of service, veteran soldier Martin is on his way home. He stops in a small Wallachian village, which is being tyrannized by a bailiff and his cronies; the messenger and the priest. Martin witnesses this tyrant wringing out the people in the village and decides to do something about it. Strange things then happen in the village, which according to the bailiff must be the work of the devil.
