A Double Life plot
Anthony John is an actor who finds it difficult to distinguish between acting and reality. When he plays a comedy he is the nicest person there is, but when he plays drama he is not enjoyable. This is the reason his wife Brita, an actress has left him. When Anthony accepts a role as Othello, he becomes completely self-absorbed again and gets more and more of Othello's murderous jealousy in him.

Colman is great in his Oscar-winning role, but the story about a rather crazy method actor is a bit too theatrical for me, not least because of the long Othello performances in the film.
I can see why this is such a classic, but overall it's not really my thing.
