Voyage sans Espoir plot
An escaped thief, Pierre Gohelle, meets a young man on a train, Alain Ginestier, who says he is a bank manager and has 300,000 francs in his pocket pending his departure to South America. Gohelle decides to accompany him. They make an appointment at the "Fortuny", a bar on the harbor where his mistress Marie-Ange works. But in reality she wants to help arrest the fugitive.
