Heroes for Hire plot

Professor Ted Arlington, the only man with access to a top-secret microfilm, has just been kidnapped by Charles Barner with his secretary. They are taken to an island, where Barner learns that he has been tricked by his client Escaler, and manages to escape just in time. Escaler himself is more interested in ransom than in the microfilm and asks $10 million for the professor's safety. Barner betrays the hiding place of the professor to his business manager, TJ Robinson, for $1 million.
