A decent, very understated drama mini-series (more known as Retribution). From British soil, so it is almost self-evident that image, sound and setting are well taken care of. However, the story drags quite a bit... it develops almost creepingly. That shouldn't be a bad thing - the intrigue, betrayal and deceit are quite interesting - but here the first two/three episodes felt like half a day when they only last an hour. So it doesn't look so good.

The last episode is a lot better (albeit a tad soapy). Initially, the side plots about the detective and about the old woman in the nursing home are pathetic and loose. I don't like Laura Fraser (from The Missing and ice bunny Lydia from Breaking Bad), but it didn't add much. At least until the last episode. Then those two plots appear to fit into the theme of the series: the intentions behind 'good' and behind 'evil' actions. Something like that. It dangles a bit between 3 and 3.5*.
