Crooked River plot

Shamrock Ellison travels with his mother and father across the American Southwest. When they find a river, they pause. But then the Ellisons are attacked by Kent's outlaw gang, killing Shamrock's mother and father. Shamrock plans to take revenge. In the nearby town of Mason City, Shamrock meets and befriends the "Colonel". The Colonel is the local sheriff and it won't be long before he makes Shamrock deputy sheriff. "Lucky" Hayden, one of Kent's gang members, lives in the remote mountains with his sister Ann. When Lucky tries to rob the stagecoach to Mason City, Shamrock foils it and tracks Lucky to his secluded home. Shamrock falls in love with Ann Hayden, but the outlaw Kent also has a crush on her.
