A decent mystery thriller that's just a bit too mediocre in every way. It has a few nice twists, although the it-didn't-all-happen is always rather annoying. The film certainly tries hard to follow a good script, and the ideas are solid. But it all falls just a little short of truly engaging. I can't quite put my finger on why yet. It feels like it has a few holes. The romance could also have been a bit less overblown, especially since it doesn't seem to bother him much when the woman turns out to have a second life and he immediately starts eavesdropping professionally.
All in all a nice snack, but nothing more.

First of all, the performance of "Kseniya Rappoport" in the role of Sofia is remarkable. The strong point of the film is avoiding extremism to attract the audience in the manner of cinematic techniques that are seen in most films in this genre. The film consciously avoids emotionalizing the audience. It does not give slogans of moralism. The end of the movie is different and good. Moreover, the soundtrack of the film is well.

When you start the film, you have no idea how it's going to end. You don't even know what genre you're watching. A woman works as a hotel maid and is also dating a man. Initially, that seems to be the film's subject: a budding relationship between two people. But then something completely unexpected happens. And so, more twists occur that you couldn't have predicted. But once you know how the film ends, those twists aren't as strange as they seem. And that's the most clever thing about this film. The story is well-constructed and builds very cleverly. Even the ending is illogical, but then again, it isn't. A good film. Only, you don't need to see it again as long as you still know how it ends. So I'm actually hoping that if I ever see it again, I'll have forgotten the story.
