The quiet Harold Smith becomes a celebrity when he begins to display special telekinetic powers. After being arrested for murdering three elderly people (he accidentally got their pacemakers to stop), his lawyer hires a skeptical scientist to prove that Harold's gifts aren't real. Meanwhile, Harold's son is after the scientist's daughter.
