The Horse Boy plot
The Isaacson family lives in Texas. The doctors diagnose autism in their two-year-old son Rowan. The couple searches for the best medical treatment, but traditional therapies have little effect. As Rowan gets older, they find that he has a strong bond with animals, especially horses. They decide to travel to Mongolia in search of a mysterious shaman who they believe can heal their autistic son.
