Somewhere between Here and Now plot
"Where is home to you?"
Louise returns to Belgium after a long journey in Asia, but is hesitant to go home. She postpones the moment to come home. In Brussels-North an American notices Louise. He is about to embark on a journey. Instead of taking his train, he follows Louise. Unlike Louise, he postpones the moment to leave. What follows is a trek through nocturnal Brussels. They find themselves in an in-between moment, not yet departed, not yet arrived, in the enormous transit zone of Brussels: a space that does not meet the everyday expectations and demands of reality. A place that invites surprising encounters, an intercultural, international zone. And of course with the communication problems that such a zone entails. How to experience the homeland as a foreign country?
