In a typical English working class village, the youngsters have nothing to do but hang out in gangs. One day, Alan Darcy tries to get the youngsters off the streets and do something they can believe in: boxing. The initiative is a success and the boys become increasingly close friends. To show what they've learned, Darcy organizes a competition for the boys.
