Quemar las Naves plot
"Do not be afraid to live your life"
Helena and Sebastian are teenagers and have to take care of their mother Eugenia, who has cancer. Eugenia doesn't have long to live. Helena is with her mother during the day, while Sebastian goes to school. Helena is in love with her younger brother. Sebastian has feelings for both girls and boys and is attracted to his tough classmate Juan. As the reality of their mother's impending death sinks in, Helena and Sebastian become confused about questions of love, mortality, family life, and family.
