Northern Lights plot
After a hard life in Baltimore, Nate Burns becomes the new chief of police in the Alaskan village of Lunacy. Only five hundred people live there and when it storms, this hamlet is cut off from the outside world until the weather dies down. He gets to know the most diverse characters and wants to dust off a sixteen-year-old file of a murder of a mountaineer. However, he gets a lot of headwind from some residents, including Meg, the daughter of the victim.
