The Cross Roads: La Croisée des Chemins plot

France, July 1944: Allied troops put up a heavy fight against the Germans and advance from Normandy into Nazi-occupied territory. Due to a mistake by the army command, however, an allied army unit ends up deeply and completely isolated in an area that is still completely in the hands of the Germans. Their starting position seems hopeless. The only option for survival is to fight through the enemy lines. What follows is a battle between the allied soldiers, who have nothing to lose, and the German army, which, thanks to their overwhelming superiority in the area, throws itself aggressively on the trapped soldiers.
