Murder in the Heartland plot

It is 1958 and 19-year-old Charles begins a relationship with 14-year-old Caril Ann. However, Caril Ann's parents forbid any contact and Charles goes completely crazy. He flees with his girlfriend and leaves behind a trail of death and destruction within 48 hours. Caril Ann does not know that Charles also killed her parents and after a while the painful truth only becomes clear.
