'A' is a Greek filmmaker who emigrated to America. He returns to his homeland to attend a special screening of one of his highly controversial films. However, A's real interest is in the genesis of the very first film by the Manakia brothers. These brothers traveled through the Balkans, ignoring national and ethnic disputes, in search of the region's history and customs.
