A bit of a slow film, but still worth watching, with a great performance by the elderly Holbreuk. Despite the slow pace, the struggles between the old man and his "old enemy" keep it from getting boring. The story doesn't progress as I expected, which is a plus, but it doesn't really get that exciting either. All in all, a passable score.

An eighty-year-old man leaves a nursing home and returns to his farmhouse. But upon arrival, his son discovers he's moved in with new tenants, which he doesn't approve of. He moves into the outbuilding and is determined to get his farmhouse back. The film is generally well-acted, and the story flows smoothly. It's not a great film, but it's not a bad one either.

This is quite a drama. It reminds me a bit of a Hallmark movie. I have a parent in a residential care center myself, and honestly, I think it's terrible. It's incredibly expensive, but the care isn't enough for the price we pay. And they treat those people like little children, making little figurines, Santa Clauses, and so on. They're just like little kids, so I can understand that old man's frustration.

Holbrook is still doing fantastically well, performing on stage until he was 92 and lived to be 96, so he continued to do his thing long after this film...
