The Cowboy and the Bandit plot
"A RANGE RIDER WESTERN"
Bill Bodie travels to a new state after outlaw 'Scarface' Jennings prevents him from being lynched. There, he takes a job at the 'Barton Ranch' and joins the Bartons' fight against an outlaw gang led by Larkin. In this battle, Mr. Barton is killed and young Bobby Barton is injured. Not long after, Bobby rescues an injured Scarface in the desert and takes him to the ranch. Bill, meanwhile, has been falsely accused by Larkin of the murder of Charley Bowen and is arrested. Alice Barton manages to get Bill out of jail, while Bobby Barton seeks help from Scarface.
