"The True Story of the Real Alice in Wonderland"
In 1862 Alice Liddell, as a young girl, was the great source of inspiration for the well-known Alice in Wonderland books, written for her by Charles Dodgson, under his pseudonym Lewis Carroll. Seventy years later, she is invited to America to attend Carroll's centenary celebrations. Upon arrival, the now-old Alice is overwhelmed by a storm of press and fans. Over the years, her image of the man who saw her as his muse has become blurred and clouded. In this hectic new world, Alice returns to Wonderland more and more often, partly to clarify for herself her relationship with Dodgson.
