Pretty standard.

Kills that were not too special, characters that are not too smart, forced dialogues and a tension that is not always strong.

But admittedly: I found it entertaining. Especially at times when someone was killed again and you struggled to see a few tears being squeezed out of the others. Humour!

A few kills were worth it and the location is nice. Furthermore, a complete repetition exercise. Too bad that a lot happened off screen and that the soundtrack was not successful, quite strange choices sometimes.

All in all, pretty nice.

A cliché mountain of shit. No flag, no sprinkles or sprinkles on it. Just a pile of unadulterated shit. Basically soporific, but the out-of-screen execution is bloody nail inducing. The idiocy bursts from the screen and apart from a rather spooky funeral director, the haunted house has little to offer.

A nicely decorated haunted house adds some flair to this fairly lifeless (and especially vacuous) horror film. What is particularly special is that director Ryan Little puts great effort into the background of his characters, while in principle they are not really worthy of all those minutes. Of course it is logical that a bit of depth is mixed into the film since it is a your-greatest-fear concept, but Little goes far beyond the acceptable standard. Fortunately, there is a nice smooth film with a nice attraction. The variety of rooms is particularly striking and that is nice, because that is the creativity that a whole like House of Fears must have. Unfortunately, when it comes to pure horror, Little works quite clumsily, so that no creature that ends up walking around here makes a frightening impression. The interesting concept provides plenty of interesting sights, but as a horror film itself this can hardly be called a success.
