The Unguarded Moment plot
"THE UNGUARDED MOMENT and its shocking aftermath!"
A woman was recently murdered. A teacher at a nearby school receives threatening letters from a student. Detective Graham is the only one who believes she is in danger. After she blames the boy, her career and life are threatened. The detective tries to look for evidence that points to the boy as guilty.

Remarkable thriller that tries to explain the psychological side of the perpetrator, although it remains a bit too superficial, in earlier film noirs the perpetrator was often just a 1 dimensional criminal, but in this film the approach is very different.
The focus is on the son but the viewer is very quickly put on the trail of the so-called evil genius behind the scenes in the person of his father.
That plot is executed reasonably well, although the ending is somewhat unsatisfactory because some side plots are not closed properly and we also do not get a good explanation of the motive of the perpetrator.
Nevertheless, an entertaining psychological thriller or crime story in a high school setting.
