A Death in the Gunj plot
India, 1970s. Coming of age story about Shutu, who has conflicting ideas about masculinity, questioning his own place in the world. The daily insensitivity of adults to his environment contributes to his feeling of isolation despite being surrounded by his family. Shutu prefers to hang out with a friend's young daughter, but gets sucked into the adult world full of emotions and desires.
