Ein Augenblick Freiheit plot
Ali and Mehrdad's parents fled from Iran to Austria years ago. Now that their children are big enough, they also undertake the grueling journey to a hopefully better future. Along the way, they meet a couple who are also on the run with their son, and together they manage to reach Ankara. They stay in a small hotel, and wait here for a refugee paper from the government with which they can continue their journey, without first being arrested by the Turkish police or the Iranian security service. Several refugees from all backgrounds live in the hotel and together they try to push away the uncertain times with their dreams.
