"For the old men wandering in a park of Seoul, the Bacchus lady is a comfort and the only lasting friend."
In the Jongno Park in Seoul you will find the 'Bagkaseu halmeoni', the so-called 'grandmothers of Bacchus', elderly women who offer their sexual services. 65-year-old Youn So-young is such a 'grandmother', who still works to pay for her son's studies in the US. At a doctor's office – she has to get treatment for gonorrhea – she meets a boy who has lost his mother. She decides to take the child home. But the work continues. Neighbors, including a disabled figurine maker and a transgender woman, help her care for the child.
