The documentary follows 26-year-old Dutchman Daniel Knoop, who leaves for Africa full of ambitions and ideals to work for sustainable poverty reduction. In Cameroon, Daniel is confronted with the rules and bureaucracy of the international community and the ubiquitous corruption. He has to hide his sexuality from his African environment; confessing homosexuality is punishable here.
