"Out of that song -- a fury of a movie!"
Three young Confederate soldiers find out too late that they killed two Confederate soldiers at the stagecoach they raided. Since the American Civil War has recently ended, killing soldiers in peacetime is considered murder. The three young men therefore decide to take refuge further south. One of the three, the rebellious Tom Dooley, takes a detour to the north to marry his girlfriend Laura Foster. Tom shouldn't have made this decision.
