Depressed Silva convinces herself that Marie, her young Romanian maid, is stealing valuables from the villa. Without proof and against her husband's wishes, Silvana decides to fire Marie. After desperately wandering around for a while, Marie finds shelter with an ex-boyfriend, Ionut. He has just been released from prison and now shares a small home with his younger brother, Igor. The extinguished flame between Marie and Ionut is rekindled.
