'Once Upon a Time in Norway' is a documentary about the early Black Metal movement in Norway and about the band Mayhem in particular. The documentary is divided into different categories: Mayhem, Satan & Politics, Underground, band members such as Dead, Euronymous and Helvete. The set features interviews with Manheim (ex-Mayhem), Nocturno Culto (Darkthrone), Tchort (Carpathian Forest), Anders Odden (Cadaver), Priest Rolf Rasmussen and more. They discuss topics such as the infamous murders, the church arson attacks (such as the famous Fantoft Stave Church), the underground scene and how it functioned and spread like fire.
