Sophie Scholl - Allen Gewalten zum Trotz... plot

Documentary about the German resistance heroine Sophie Scholl, the only woman in the resistance group "De Witte Roos", a German resistance movement that mainly consisted of students. In February 1943 she and her brother Hans were arrested on charges of subversive activities at the University of Munich. Sophie was interrogated, but refused to report her friends and paid a very high price for it. Sophie Scholl quickly became the German resistance heroine. This documentary not only sheds light on the background of her family, but also on her surroundings. The film combines eyewitness interviews with archival footage, shows rare photos of Sophie and Hans, their family and friends, and original locations where their lives took place.
