"The story of punk rock's great lost legend."
The London punk band Johnny Moped performed regularly in the illustrious club The Roxy in the 1970s. The band was made up of schoolboys from the suburb of Croydon, unhampered by any musical talent. With their recalcitrant style, contrarian music and the bravado of the enigmatic front man Paul Halford, the group fell exactly into place within the emerging punk movement. But even though they stood their ground among the big names of the era and landed a record deal, the band failed to break through to a wider audience. In interviews, members of the group and various eccentric eyewitnesses from the British music scene look back on that time and try to explain where things went wrong.
