"She's Man-Bait and Murder!"
Before she can commit suicide, the unmarried young mother Clara is rescued by the elderly watchmaker David. Clara accepts a job at David's business, then accepts David's marriage proposal. Their happy marriage is overshadowed by the arrival of Clara's ex-boyfriend Mario. Mario's cousin Harry still owes David money and he blackmails him. When David can no longer bear this, he kills Harry. Mario is blamed for the murder. Clara still seems to love young Mario.
