Mom and Me plot
In this film, director Wardrop weaves a portrait of what mothers mean to their sons, showing a vulnerable side of American masculinity that is rarely seen. These Oklahoma guys come from all walks of life, ranging from a war veteran and an inmate to a cowboy preacher and a prosecutor. Their mothers are just as complicated: feisty, resilient, demanding and generous. Both mothers and sons ride horses, shoot guns and discuss their innermost feelings and Wardrop's relentless observation shows that universality underlies this most special relationship.
