"Where the dead live"
Seven strangers get lost in a large and abandoned morgue. It doesn't take long before they disappear one by one and discover that something horrific is going on. They must now gain each other's trust and try to work together to get out of this nightmare alive. But none of them know what's really going on in the mysterious morgue.

Well. I've seen it myself now, and to be honest, I didn't watch the whole thing. It's a truly awful film that completely misses the mark, especially with its sound effects and soundtrack. What terrible music that drains any sense of tension from the film. Visually, it's not bad, but the director is so foolish to experiment here and there that it doesn't really work. The quick cuts with those awful sound effects were especially pointless. The acting wasn't helpful either, and the story itself is a very weak affair. Not exciting, not beautiful, no atmosphere, and especially not scary.

A rather lackluster affair with poor acting, a significant lack of suspense, and a completely absurd explanation. The title "The Morgue" is promising, but directing duo Halder Gomes and Gerson Sanginitto fail to deliver. The location looks anything but atmospheric, and only the cinematography occasionally manages to capture some good footage, which is about the only positive aspect of this monstrosity. Furthermore, the plot is rather sluggish, and the approach is simply too hasty. There's not much to be desired, but the average quickly makes that clear.
