Moe no Suzaku plot
The place of action is a village that is dependent on the timber industry. When the economic recession set in in 1971, many left the area. In the same year, a plan was conceived to build a train tunnel to improve the accessibility of the area. Head of family Tahara Kozo, who lives a modest life together with his mother Sachiko, wife Yasuyo, his nephew Eisuke and his beloved daughter Michiru, will be intensively involved in the construction of the tunnel.
