Le Repas des Fauves plot
Bookseller Victor Bachelin lives in a French town during the German occupation in 1942. On the occasion of the birthday of his young wife Sophie, he invited several people. Too late, he discovers that a Jewish neighbor has hidden in his basement to escape a raid, while the guests are already arriving. When two Germans are shot dead in front of their house, SS officer Kaubach knocks on the door and announces that if the murderer is not found, two hostages per apartment will be executed.
