Captain John 'Eagle Eye' Pennell, a World War II veteran, has learned that his family plans to force him into a retirement home. That same day he receives a letter from a former member of the B-17 crew reminding him of the agreement they made in 1944. This letter sends Eagle on a journey across the country with the aim of reuniting the remaining crew, something what they had promised each other for many years. Eagle meets Romy, a rather sassy young woman on the run from the mafia. After a rough start, she joins the men and realizes that she needs them as much as they need her. They become a close-knit group of friends, determined to complete their quest at all costs...
