The Beloved plot
Yanni returns to his native village, on a Greek island, after living in London for several years. Soon he goes in search of the dream woman from his youth, Elena. Problem is, she's a married woman now.

The Beloved is a strange film that babbles on for a long time without anything noteworthy actually happening. Towards the end, the film finally gets going with even some horror elements, which the nice DVD cover also indicates. Unfortunately, the final scene is disappointing where Elena and Orestes flop down bloody on chairs in the vicinity of Elena's mother-in-law. Of course the presence of Raquel Welch is a plus, unfortunately she has little dialogue and the sex scenes are very well executed. 5/10
