The Beckoning Silence plot
Docu-drama that follows mountaineer Joe Simpson as he climbs the north face of the Swiss Alp de Eiger. The north wall is better known as the murder wall, as more than sixty climbers were killed there. Simpson, at the end of his career as a professional mountaineer, is overcome with doubts and fears. Including his memory of his dramatic accident in the Andes Mountains, which was later made into the docu-drama 'Touching the Void'.
