Wiener Dog Nationals plot
"One nation, one race, one wiener."
Young Danny and his family adopt a dachshund from the shelter. Against all odds, the dog Shelly manages to qualify for a preliminary round of the Wiener Dog Nationals race, a race especially for dachshunds. They try with all their might to advance to the next round, but face stiff competition from the reigning champion Princess and her owner Mrs Merryweather. When they discover Merryweather is cheating, they get help from Melanie, one of the race judges.
