Burn Country plot
After being banned from Afghanistan, former war reporter Osman ends up in a small town in Northern California. While living with a friend's mother, he starts working as a crime reporter for a local newspaper. He is restless and eager to give meaning to his new life. He befriends the eccentric couple Lindsay and Sandra, with the aim of infiltrating the local crime scene. When Lindsay mysteriously disappears, Osman finds herself in the underworld, putting both himself and others in danger.
