Rudo y Cursi plot

"Even when your luck runs out, some things never change."

The two brothers Tato and Beto work hard in rural Mexico. They have a simple dream together, which is to save enough money to build their mother's dream home. But fate has other plans. During an innocent game of football, both brothers are discovered by the top national talent scout, Batuta. They exchange the country life for a decadent life full of celebrities, wealth, fast cars and beautiful women. But every dream has its dark side and the bond the brothers once had is strained when they have to play against each other. Trust in each other is replaced by deceit and disgust. Not only their bond is at stake, but also the safety of their family. Finally, they face each other on the field, during the most important game to be played. Tato and Beto not only have to face each other on the field, they also have to find their bond again, before they lose everything they've ever dreamed of.
