Sénéchal le Magnifique plot
Lucien Sénéchal, an actor who is slowly getting tired of touring with the Carlini theater company, finds himself in the town of Dreux one evening. His luggage is missing, which means that he is obliged to report to the police in his theater costume, the uniform of an army officer. A group of young people stops him and enthrones him to a party at the Colonel's, where he is welcomed as a guest of honour. The same happens to Sénéchal in Paris, where he is seen as a top diplomat because of his theatrical costume.
