Six years of waiting for this. They should have spent those six years of their lives doing something else than making this uninspired piece of junk. What a mess. It all feels like an attempt to impress with CGI, because the humor is nowhere to be found, the actors suck (especially that Russian guy is more annoying than a dung fly), and it's awash with spectacle-movie clichés. The first film was a highly original sci-fi comedy, but this one went completely wrong, and you get an amateurish monstrosity in its place. Filmkriebel says: skip this shit, it's not worth your time.

SF action with Lara Rossi, Stephanie Paul, Udo Kier

Director: Timo Vuorensola

While Iron Sky was hardly a masterpiece, it found a market for campy SF action nonsense and became a cult hit. Seven years later, Timo Vuorensola returns to direct this sequel, which falls into most of the pitfalls of a sequel. This starts with the fact that it has a protagonist who is supposedly supposed to be named Obi [Lara Rossi]. Naturally, there's a silly and vague story about an energy form on Earth that Obi needs to transport the 2,000-plus human population on "The Dark Side of the Moon" (another supposed joke) to a place where they no longer have to worry about the Moon Nazis. Udo Kier returns as the Nazi kingpin in this largely hopelessly acted and overly campy nonsense that even Iron Sky fans won't be thrilled with.

You know this movie is over the top and all, but man, it's bad and sooooo far-fetched in every way, haha. Anyway, I'll stick with part 1, and be warned
