Nam Yee Boon Sik plot
Tien Yen Seng and his supporters rob a security company using explosive equipment and the result? Huge explosions and many deaths. They flee with 100,000 Hong Kong dollars and apparently no trace of it has been found. Six months later, Officer Fong and his teammates stop a suspicious car, which is also brutally attacked by Tien and his supporters. In other words, Tien has returned to Hong Kong, but for what purpose?

Yuck, yuck. This was so rubbish. xD. The only thing I could really laugh at was the somewhat cheesy humor that popped up regularly. That was great 
.
Besides, this was just a mediocre copy of the golden oldie. Wiu Jing is a decent fighter, something he already showed in Legendary Assassin. The other trio was very mediocre. Their acting wasn't great, and their chemistry was also lacking.
But the negative undertone is definitely set by the overly thick layer of melodrama. Every cliché was pulled out of the closet. Love, hate, revenge, and who knows what else. And as soon as something decisive was forgotten, it had to be made up at the end, see: that love scene between that bald guy and that one girl, which was just cut from the whole piece.
Well, the overall picture just wasn't good

Good!
Quite a bit darker than Benny Chan's usual work, and that's precisely what gives this film that extra something. It's also quite action-packed. There's some typical Hong Kong drama here and there, but the majority of the film is action-oriented.
There's also a fair amount of variety in the action scenes. Chases, one-on-one fights, massive explosions. It's all there. This might make the film a tad too long, but none of the scenes feel like filler.
The youngsters also deliver excellent performances. Tse, Yue, and Chan are a fantastic trio, the latter now among the best actors of their generation. Wu Jing's performance as the villain is also a positive standout.
It just lacks that little bit of style to truly score high. Chan might need some tutoring from the Milkyway guys; I think he could learn a few lessons there. But other than that, easily Chan's best film and a great filler for an evening of action-packed fun.

A decent action film. The story is quite well-crafted and Chan develops it well. The first half is quite strong, with plenty of suspense and excellent action scenes. The second half is a bit weaker, but certainly not bad. The ending is a bit too much, but still entertaining. The film also contains some unnecessary humor. The acting is excellent, with good chemistry. 3.5
