Wenn die Sonne Wieder Scheint plot

Vlasboer Vermeulen and his wife Barbele are looking forward to the return of their son Louis, who is studying at the agricultural school. When Louis wants to apply his knowledge and proposes to sow the flax in another field, father Vermeulen is not pleased with these newfangled ideas. The 'eternal battle between old and new' breaks loose. The fact that Louis is in love with the stable girl Schellebelle intensifies the tension between the generations. The conflict reaches a dramatic climax when Louis ignores his father's wishes and decides to bring in the flax on his own.
