Run for the Sun plot
"Clawing...Killing...Hacking his way across a thousand miles of steaming jungle!"
American journalist Katherine "Katie" Connors, who works for Sight Magazine, traces the famous writer and pilot Michael "Mike" Latimer in Mexico. Mike lives a secluded life in the fishing village of San Marcos as a hunter and fisherman. Katie finds out that Mike now lacks the courage to write. She decides not to interview Mike and returns to Mexico City. Mike offers Katie to fly her to Mexico City on his own plane, but because neither of them notice that Katie's magnetic agenda is affecting the navigation equipment, Mike gets off course and eventually runs out of fuel. Katie discovers a small airstrip in the jungle at a remote ranch. After the crash landing, Mike is injured and just before Katie passes out, both are rescued by three gunmen. Mike soon learns that these men are runaway Nazis who live secretly in the Mexican jungle. Because the Nazis want to keep their hideout hidden, they don't want to let Mike and Katie go. Escape seems almost impossible, as the ranch is guarded by bloodhounds and the Nazis don't shy away from killing.
