Fu Rong Zhen plot
Hu Yuyin is a young hardworking woman in a Chinese village just before the Cultural Revolution. She is happily married and runs a vegetable stand. It is supported by some members of the ruling party. In 1964, a team is appointed by the party to oust rightists and capitalists. Yuyin is designated by them as a "new rich farmer" and her house and shop are taken from her.

Film where some knowledge of Chinese history and culture is useful, but also language if good subtitles are not available.
Perhaps not the strongest story, but without a doubt an exceptionally strong portrait of a period in Chinese history that is still relevant today.
