Förortsungar plot
9-year-old Amina, an African refugee, has been wandering the streets of Stockholm with her grandfather for three years. Their asylum applications are invariably refused. The young musician Johan decides to give the two shelter for the time being, but when Amina's grandfather dies, he is stuck with a child. Amina befriends Johan's neighbor Mirre, leader of a youth gang, and a rap star in heart and soul. Has Amina found a new family, or can she not escape the social services that quickly knock on Johan's front door?
