Secret of the Chateau plot
"Shadows Come to Life! Traps Snare Women! Trunks Swallow Men! Bells Toll Out Death!"
Inspector Marotte, who visits an auction of old books that belonged to the murdered M. Le Duc, hopes he can catch his old enemy Prahec. Prahec is a murderer and book thief. More people will be murdered as soon as a unique first edition of the Gutenberg Bible becomes known to be on M. Le Duc's estate. Marotte must find Prahec's true identity among the friends, family and help present.
